Please help us to "go and make disciples of all nations" by praying for the GO Teams.

Teams Past

Praise God for the work done by past teams and for the large number of people who willingly give their time and energy to serve on them.
Give thanks for the spiritual blessing these people experienced through being involved in this form of service.

Team Building

Pray that God would raise up the people he wants to serve on the teams. "Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into his harvest field." Luke 10 v 2.
Pray that God would provide people to support the work of GO Teams in prayer.
Pray for each member of this year's teams in their personal preparation. "If a man cleanses himself from the latter, he will be an instrument for noble purposes, made holy, useful to the Master and prepared to do any good work." 2 Timothy 2 v 21. Pray that God would give the GO Committee wisdom to know how to help people prepare to serve on the teams.
Pray for the churches which will host the GO Teams as they plan and prepare for the week.
Pray that God would be preparing the hearts of people that the team will have contact with.

Team Work

Thank God for the hospitality of the host congregations. Pray that all the practical arrangements would go smoothly. Ask God to grant safety during the week.
Pray that God would give the team members the strength and faith needed for the various activities.
Pray that God would give the team members opportunities to share the Gospel. "And pray for us, too, that God may open a door for our message, so that we may proclaim the mystery of Christ" Colossians 4 v 3.
Pray that God would give boldness and the words to say. "Pray also for me, that whenever I open my mouth, words may be given to me so that I will fearlessly make known the mystery of the gospel" Ephesians 6 v 19. "Pray that I may proclaim it clearly, as I should." Colossians 4 v 4.
Request wisdom for the team members. "Be wise in the way you act toward outsiders." Colossians 5 v 5. Ask God to help them be gracious. "Let your conversation be always full of grace, seasoned with salt, so that you may know how to answer everyone." Colossians 4 v 6.
Pray that God would bless their witness, so that as a result of the teams there would be good contacts to follow-up and many people would be saved and added to the church. "More and more men and women believed in the Lord and were added to their number." Acts 5 v 14.
Ask God to use the teams to help and encourage the host congregations.
Pray that God's name would be honoured and that glory would be brought to him in everything that is done.
Pray that God will bless the team members as they serve him.
Praise God that "all authority in heaven and on earth has been given" to Christ, and so we can "go and make disciples of all nations" Matthew 28 v 18, 19. Thank God that his word will be successful. "My word that goes out of my mouth: it will not return to me empty, but will accomplish what I desire and achieve the purpose for which I sent it." Isaiah 55 v 11.

Team Up

Pray for the churches hosting the GO Teams when they follow up the contacts.
Pray that God would work in the hearts of the people contacted, that the seed sown will bear fruit in the salvation of sinners and the building up of the church.
Remember the people who have been on the GO Teams, pray that God will help them to continue to evangelise throughout the year in their home situation.

Teams Future

Pray for the GO Committee as plans for future teams are made. Ask God to would give us his wisdom and lead us clearly in all the decisions we have to make.
