1 Kings 5
Sermon Outline
Paul in writing to Timothy reminded him that all of scripture is God breathed. This is also true of 1 Kings 5 which deals with the preparations for a great building project. In studying it we must remember that Christ is in all of scripture. Solomon is a type of Christ and parallels can be drawn with Christ and Him building His church.
1. Temple preparation is in fulfilment of promise.
2. Temple preparation anticipates God's kingdom
3. Temple preparation exhibits God's wisdom
